Life: Reality to Survive
Life is not always something we accept as it is.
Sometimes, it is something we shape, bend, and rewrite to survive.
Not because we are delusional.
Not because we are lost in fantasy.
But because reality, in its rawest form, is sometimes too much to bear.
And so, we create versions of it that allow us to keep moving forward.
Not to escape but to endure the different realities we live in.
There are moments in life when we choose the version of reality that makes sense to us.
Not because the truth isn’t there but because we need time to make peace with it.
The reality is that we tell ourselves to survive the crisis, as a diagnosis that threatens life and everything, so we decide it’s wrong diagnosis.
A battle we didn’t t ask for, so we turn it into a game we can win.
A loss we cannot comprehend, so we pretend, for a while, that it didn’t happen.
The reality we step into when the past no longer serves us. When who we were no longer fits who we are, we write a new version of ourselves. When pain that defined us no longer holds power, we release it into a past that no longer belongs to us.
We are allowed to change the way we see our own story because perception is power.
Is it in escaping or is it Coping?
Some will say that reshaping reality is a form of denial and that we should face things exactly as they are.
But here’s the truth: the mind is designed to protect itself.
We do not take in pain all at once. We process it at the speed our hearts can handle.
Sometimes, that means playing with different versions of reality until we are strong enough to accept what is.
If a different reality helps you survive, it is not a weakness. It is Resilience.
If reframing the past allows you to move forward, it is not avoidance. It’s Wisdom.
If shaping your own version of truth helps you heal, it is not deception. It is Survival.
The balance between holding on to and when to let go.
Creating different realities can be healing, But eventually, we must decide which one we are willing to live in.
Some realities are meant to help us transition, but are they meant to stay forever?
If we tell ourselves a story long enough, it becomes our truth. We must ask: Is this story freeing me or keeping me from going forward?
Some realities are not false. They are just different ways of seeing the same truth.
Love that was never ours in this life may still be real. Pain that we reframe into strength is still the truth; it is just softened.
We do not always have to accept things as they are. We can take them as we need them to be.
It is a collection of experiences, memories, and perspectives that we can shape. It becomes our Truth.
If rewriting the narrative helps you heal, do it.
If living between realities allows you to keep going, embrace it.
If bending the truth gives you the strength to carry on, let it.
Because at the end of the day, you are not running from life.
You are choosing how to survive it.
And that?
That is its own kind of truth.
Reality is not just what happens. It is what we make of it.
